We can confirm the commits and recruits below are planning to attend. Stay tuned for a complete list on Friday here on CUTigers.com!
****5-Star RB Zamir White Visiting Clemson on Saturday
5-Star priority target Zamir White, the Tigers' top RB on the board for 2018, has confirmed a visit to Clemson with family in tow for Saturday’s Spring Game. White has not been on campus since last seasons’ Louisville victory, but at one time during his recruitment he had Clemson solidly implanted as his leader. This was prior to 3 visits in the past few months to Athens, and now it's widely assumed that UGA has the lead for 2018’s top running back. However, this weekend will mark his first trip back to Clemson since the new Reeves Football Operations Center was finished, so he'll finally be able to experience its grandeur in person. Throw that in with the who’s-who of commits and other high-tier recruits in town along with a staff that can recruit with the best of them, and things could get even cloudier upon White’s exit from Clemson this weekend.
****KJ Henry Names Top 10
Big-time priority 2018 DE prospect K.J. Henry out of the Tar Heel State has announced his top ten and Clemson, as expected, is firmly implanted. They should be, considering all the leg work this staff has done since originally noticing, targeting and first to offer the North Carolina product before anyone else. Since then, an avalanche of offers have poured in for the rangy and very athletic big man.
****New Palmetto State TE Offer
The Tigers offer 6’5, 220-pound hybrid WR/TE Braden Galloway out of nearby Seneca High School. It was an out-of-the-blue offer that surprised the recruit and his high school coaches as Galloway was on campus this week and took in spring practice. I have reached out to Brandon, and he is gonna get back to us soon with his personal thoughts on the offer from the Tigers and his recruitment moving forward.
****Surprise 2018 DE Visitor
2018 Peach State product Azeez Ojulari turned a lot of heads inside the indoor practice facility this week, visiting Clemson with his family to see what the Tigers, who have yet to offer, had on campus and to get to know the staff a little better.
We are hearing Ojulari is now under heavy consideration for a 2018 offer, so stay tuned here to CUTigers.com and the Radar Screen for more on this intriguing pass rusher from Georgia!
****Minnesota Big Man Talks Clemson Visit
Clemson received a first-time visit from Quinn Carroll, a 2019 OL from the midwest. The 6'6", 290-pound big-man has yet to receive an offer from the Tigers, but he already holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, FSU, UGA, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and USC, just to name a few. Quinn was good enough to share his thoughts with us below.
CU: What was your impression of Clemson? Did you get to see all of the campus and surrounding areas?
QC: "Yes I got to see all of it. I was blown away, it's a beautiful place."
CU: What coach is recruiting you from Clemson and what have you heard from them with regard to your offer?
QC: "Coach Caldwell, the Offensive Line Coach at Clemson, is the one recruiting me. They like to take their time to do their research on a recruit and that's what I'm giving them in order to figure out if they want to offer or not.”
CU: What about the Clemson visit most impressed you?
QC: "Being able to visit with Coach Swinney and get to talk with him about Clemson's program and how they go about their business and the faith aspect of his coaching style."
CU: If you had to describe Clemson's atmosphere in one word, what would that be?
CU: Are you planning a return visit to Clemson this summer or fall?
QC: "I am planning to come back this fall."
CU: Who would you say you model your game after in the NFL or NCAA? What player influences your game?
QC: "Taylor Lewan (left tackle for the Titans). He is athletic and aggressive. I try to model my game after him."
CU: What other schools are on the docket for a visit?
QC: "I haven't figured out my schedule for other visits yet."
