The Clemson Tigers continue to be one of the favorites for Melton but don't count out the Demon Deacons. "Clemson and Wake Forest are my favorites," stated Melton.

The 6-2, 190 pound quarterback, who projects as a wide receiver in college, visited Wake Forest this weekend to see their battle with heavily favored North Carolina State. "I went to the Wake Forest game this weekend. It was great. It was very exciting."

"Coach O'Cain called last Wednesday. He just wanted to check in to see how things are going with me. He said they were thinking about me. He said he would have called earlier but he had lost my number. He just got it back. He said he would come see one of my games."

Melton had hoped to visit for the Georgia game but couldn't get it setup. "I was hoping to come to the Georgia game but I couldn't get in touch with the coaches in time. I will probably come to the Virginia or Florida State games."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from North Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
