Top NJ Running Back Changes Favorites

Shonn Green, one of the top running backs in the Northeast, has made some changes in his favorites as he prepares for his season opener on Saturday. Do the Tigers still lead for the New Jersey superstar? We've got all the details on his favorites in this recruiting update.

5-11, 190, 4.45
Winslow Township High School
Atco, New Jersey

The offer list for the Atco superstar includes some of the nations top programs including Clemson, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Syracuse, Iowa and Maryland. Clemson was the leader for Green over the summer, but that has changed over the past few weeks. "They were my leader but now everything is up in the air."

So did the Clemson performance against Georgia have any impact on his decision to remove the Tigers as his leader?

"No, I didn't even get a chance to see that game. Everything is just up in the air right now because I'm hearing from a lot of schools."

Green plans to take official visits to Clemson, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Syracuse later in this fall and the visits will be critical to his decision. Coach Lovett called Green earlier this month to see how the superstar running back is doing and to tell him the Tigers are very interested in getting him to Clemson.

The 5-11, 190 pound speedster is ready to get his senior season underway. "Our season starts on Saturday. We are looking pretty good."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding prospect from New Jersey, right up through signing day 2004.
