WR Sinclair Cannon
6-3, 190, 4.5
Greer High School
Greer, South Carolina
The Greer High School standout had another impressive performance last weekend. Cannon scored 3 touchdowns while rushing for 108 yards and passing for 107 yards. His performance wasn't enough for a victory, as Greer fell 31-19 bringing their season record to 3-2.
The Tigers appear to lead the in-state battle for the star athlete, but several out of state schools are giving the Tigers some stiff competition. Does the 6-3, 190 pound prospect have a leader? "No, not really. I'm still wide open. It's pretty much Pittsburgh, Georgia, Tennessee or Clemson."
Are the Gamecocks still in the mix? "They are still up there too. I just haven't gone to a game down there."
Cannon watched the Tigers battle the Bulldogs earlier this season, and he attended the Tennessee game against South Carolina this weekend. "It was a nice game," said Cannon. Who was the prize recruit rooting for? "I was pulling for Tennessee," stated the Greer prospect.
The talented prospect has several visits planned over the next few weeks. "I plan to go to Georgia this weekend. Then I plan to go to Tennessee again. I also plan to go to Clemson for the Florida State game."
Recruting Coordinator and linebackers' coach David Blackwell is recruiting Cannon to Clemson. We will continue to keep you updated on the outstanding athlete from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
