WR/S Phillip Morris
6-4, 190, 4.43
Timmonsville High School
Timmonsville, South Carolina
Timmonsville High School has struggled this season, as they are 0-5 after playing several larger schools. Region play begins this week so things should change quickly. Morris has done his best to help his team as he has played quarterback, running back, receiver, and defensive back already this season.
Morris is confident that he will be wearing orange next season but he is not sure if that will be at Tennessee or Clemson. "Clemson and Tennessee are still my favorites," stated Morris. The Tigers have already offered the talented prospect, but the Vols have yet to offer.
Is the talented prospect close to a commitment? "No, not really. Not yet. I want to see what my options are."
Morris plans to be back in the valley next weekend to watch Clemson battle Virginia. The Timmonsville star does not have any plans to visit Tennessee yet.
Coach Burns is calling the 6-4, 190 pound prospect regularly to check on his senior season and to update him on how is older brother Kelvin is doing.
"Kelvin's doing all right. I just got off the phone with Coach Burns. He said he was doing well in practice. Coach was just telling me how Clemson had a hard week in practice. He was asking when I am coming to see them play again."
The prize recruit listened to the Tigers impressive victory over Georgia Tech. "I listened to the whole game. The defense played good ball that game."
Morris plans to wait until after the season to make his commitment but he noted that could change if he gets the right feeling on one of his unofficial visits. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
