Clemson Verbal Commitment Update

Updated information on 4 Clemson Verbal Commitments including stats and qualifying information. Trinity Prep QB Will Proctor continues to show why he's one of the top rated drop-back passing quarterbacks in the country. Gerald McCloud (6'2,185,4.5)
RB/DB Gerald McCloud rushed for 211 yards on only 17 carries as he helped lead Arlington Country Day to a 30-20 win over Baldwin High School. Gerald rumbled into the endzone from 31 and 27 yards out to seal the victory. Arlington Country Day is now 3-1 on the season and McCloud is averaging over 100 yards a game on the ground, and 8 tackles per game from the cornerback position.

Cory Groover (6'3,210,4.57)
RB/LB Cory Groover had 187 all purpose yards and 2 touchdowns in Hannah-Pamplico's 36-24 loss to Lake View. Groover's second touchdown, a 34-yard one handed reception over fellow Clemson commitment Anthony Waters. Cory also led off the game with a 83 yard kickoff return. The Red Raiders are now 4-2 on the season.

Hannah-Pamplico Head Coach Stan Drawdy says the Cory is still working extremely hard in the classroom and is improving his chances of qualifying tremendously.

Anthony Waters (6-3,205,4.55)
RB/LB Anthony Waters led the Lake View Wild Gators with 61 yards rushing on 15 carries, a rushing touchdown, along with four receptions for 64 yards and a receiving touchdown. Waters and Groover covered each other all night from the linebacker position. Waters has registered 43 tackles through his first 4 games of the season.

Will Proctor (6-3, 190, 4.68)
Two weeks ago, Will Proctor threw for an 84-yard touchdown and rushed for another score to help lead Trinity Prep (Winter Park, FL) over Warner Christian 27-14. This past weekend, Proctor accounted for 3 touchdowns in a 45-22 pounding of St. John Lutheran. Trinity Prep is now 4-1 on the season.

In speaking with Trinity Coach Drew Nemec, Proctor is still very firm in his commitment to Clemson.
