Florida Speed Demon likes the Tigers

This Florida speedster has been catching the eye of every major program in the country since last season. With blazing 4.3 speed, he's one of the top ranked wide reciever prospects in the country. The Tigers are currently in serious contention for this standout, but who else could be a factor as signing day approaches?

Punta Gorda (FL) Port Charlotte wide receiver Dishon Platt continues to impress recruiting experts around the country.

As a first team all-state performer that led the state in receiving yards as a junior, its really easy to see why.

So far this season, Platt has registered 21 catches for 420 yards in four games with six touchdowns.

Dishon Platt has 4.3 blazing speed to with a 6 feet, 170 lb frame and a 32-inch vertical leap. He is also ranked as the #6 prospect in the country by TheInsiders.com and, most importantly, he has the Tigers on his list.

Florida State and South Florida are my two leaders," said wide receiver DiShon Platt. "If I had to sign today, I would sign with South Florida. I have not been to Florida State and I have been to USF. I also like Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, LSU and Miami. Clemson is coming on strong because they said I can play both football and basketball." Platt told recruiting expert Jamie Newberg.

Florida State and South Florida have both been atop his list at different points throughout the year, but it appears that recent events have led him to seriously consider the Tigers. As an all-state basketball peformer in the state of Florida, I'm feel confident in saying that Larry Shyatt could find a spot for him on the hardwood.

We will continue to keep you updated on Dishon Platt as the football season continues.
