QB Carlos King
6-2, 185, 4.66
Westover High School
The 6-2, 185 pound athlete is still waiting on his first offer, but several schools are starting to show more interest. "Clemson and Auburn are my favorites. Clemson is recruiting me the hardest. Coach Hines is calling. The other schools are just writing."
An injured ankle has limited King this season, but he has still put up good numbers in his first season at quarterback. "The season is going good so far. I sprained my ankle in the first game but played through it. I had to miss the second game. The last 4 games I have played but I am just now getting back to 100%."
The talented quarterback has over 600 yards passing on the year including 1 rushing touchdown and 4 passing touchdowns. "My legs are my strength. I can get out of a tight situation. As a quarterback I'm more of a runner than a passer."
King played wide receiver as a junior when he had over 700 yards receiving and finished as an honorable mention All-State player. Coach Hines is recruiting the Westover High star as a quarterback, but he doesn't care what position he plays at the collegiate level. "It doesn't make a difference to me. I just want to play."
The senior quarterback is not sure when he will make a commitment, but it could be soon if the right offers come along. "If either off my favorites give me an offer I may give a verbal on the spot. I may not. I'm not really sure right now."
The talented athlete camped at Clemson, Georgia and Auburn this summer. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from Georgia, right up through signing day 2004.
