Thompson had a chance to talk with several of the Clemson coaches during his visit on Saturday. "I got to talk with Coach Swinney, Coach West and Coach Bowden. They told me they really want me to come to Clemson. They told me I could see a lot of early playing time."

Does the prize recruit still list the Gamecocks as his leader? "No, not right now," stated Thompson. South Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson and Georgia are the favorites for the powerful lineman at this point.

Coach Swinney has been working hard to improve the Tigers standing with the superstar lineman and it appears to be paying dividends. "Right now it has. I'm starting to get into Clemson. I really like them now."

The standout lineman has not scheduled any official visits yet. "I'm thinking about taking an official visit to Clemson the weekend of January 9." Thompson says he's not sure he will take on official to South Carolina because it is so close to home. "I'm not sure if I'll take one. It's so close to home. I can go there anytime."
