Antuan Edwards Moves to the IR List

Former Clemson standout Antuan Edwards was lost for the season in Green Bay's 28-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers Sunday. "Everything was going well for me this year; I was busting my ass on all the plays. It's tough," said Edwards.

Edwards suffered torn ligaments in his left knee in the third quarter of Green Bay's 28-7 win over Carolina when a player rolled into the back of his leg. Edwards, the Packers' first round pick in 1999, missed four games last year with a sprained MCL.

"Everything was going well for me this year; I was busting my ass on all the plays. It's tough," said Edwards. "It's another setback, but I'm going to come out of this. That's the type of person I am."

The Packers claimed linebacker Andre O'Neal on waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Edwards has been extensively used as a defensive back in passing situations for the Packers over the past 2 seasons.
