The 6-3, 190 pound prospect had 2 rushing touchdowns to lead Greer High School to an exciting victory over Union last weekend. Greer is still undefeated in conference play and appears to be headed deep into the playoffs.

Cannon did not make it to Death Valley to watch the Tigers battle the Tarheels, but he watched with interest on television. "I watched the game because I wanted to see Sergio if I could," stated the prize recruit.

Sergio Gilliam saw his first action as a true freshman in Saturday's win over North Carolina. Cannon and Gilliam were teammates last season at Greer High and they remain very close friends. "I tried to call him earlier today but couldn't get in touch with him," stated Cannon.

The talented athlete is not ready to go on record with a favorite at this point, but he does have his list of favorites. "Clemson, Tennessee, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Maryland are my favorites," stated Cannon.

Gilliam has set his first official visit with Pittsburgh for November 29. "I'm going to try to work around the Shrine Bowl for my other visits," stated the talented prospect.

When will the superstar athlete make his decision? "I want to take my official visits and then decide. I want to see how many players the schools are graduating and how they are doing."

Clemson linebacker coach and recruiting coordinator David Blackwell got a chance to impress Cannon when he spoke at the Greer area touchdown club last week. "I saw Coach Blackwell Thursday night at an awards banquet but I wasn't able to talk to him. He was the guest speaker. He did great."
