Clemson Injury Update

Clemson starting offensive guard T.J. Watkins had an MRI at Mountain View Medical Services in Seneca and the results were negative. Clemson trainer Danny Poole said Friday that Watkins has a sprained knee and that he should be able to play in the October 13th NC State game. He suffered the injury in the middle of practice on Thursday.

Wide receiver Tony Elliott had surgery earlier this week to have a screw put in his broken wrist, an injury he suffered in the Georgia Tech game. He will be out four to six weeks due to the injury.

Defensive back Brian Mance, who missed the last third of the Georgia Tech game due to a sprained knee was back at practice on Thursday and should play against NC State.

Eric Meekins, who has also been slowed by a pulled hamstring and sprained knee, also should be ready to go for the NC State game.

Nick Eason was in a yellow jersey recovering from a sprained ankle this past week, but should be back at practice on Monday.

The Tigers will not practice on Friday and will not return to the practice field until Monday. Top Stories
