Staley Eager to Get to Clemson

Former JUCO standout Brian Staley is close to completing his class work so he can enroll at Clemson in January. has all the details on how Staley is progressing with his academics and his thoughts on the Tigers big victory over #3 FSU.

The 5-10, 185 pound superstar defender watched the Clemson victory on the television Saturday night. "I was very surprised. I was glad they won. It made me eager to get to Clemson. I'm ready to go down."

Staley has been working hard to complete his class work at Adam State College so he can enroll at Clemson in January.

"My class work is going real good. I should be done by next week. I have talked with Georgia Military a lot about the process to make sure I know what needs to be done. I will be staying in touch with them once I finish next week to make sure nothing bad happens."

The former Georgia Military standout enjoyed watching the fans celebrate after the big victory. "I'm in to that. I like that. It's nice to see so much support for your team."

Staley mentioned that he has heard all of the discussion about the coaching staff, but it will not impact his decision.

"Not really, it won't impact my decision. It is a concern. It would be for any recruit. One of the reasons I like Clemson so much is I like the defensive scheme. Even if there is a change I will still go to Clemson."
