Timmons Looking Harder at Clemson

Lawrence Timmons, one of the top linebackers in the nation, is close to setting all of his official visits and the Tigers are battling for the final visit. Will the Tigers get a visit from the superstar linebacker? We've got all the details in this recruiting update.

The 6-1, 220 pound prospect was impressed with the Tigers performance against the Seminoles. "It was a good game. Clemson controlled it through the whole game. I wish they had played like that all year."

Timmons has already decided on 4 of his official visits and the Tigers are in the mix for the last visit. "I plan to visit Florida State, Florida, Tennessee and Michigan. Clemson may get the last visit. I am also considering Maryland for the final visit."

When does the superstar linebacker believe he will decide on the last visit? "It might be this week," stated the prize recruit.

Did the Tigers impressive performance help the Tigers chances? "Yes sir. They definitely moved up. They have a better chance at getting my last visit."

Clemson Coach Dabo Swinney continues to. "I just talked with Coach Swinney last week," stated Timmons.

Timmons helped lead Wilson High School to a 42-13 victory in the first round of the playoffs last week. The talented athlete played tight end on offense and had another impressive performance at linebacker.
