OL Ben Gabbard
6-5, 305, 5.2
Broadneck Senior High School
Gabbard has helped lead Broadneck Senior High to a perfect 12-0 on the season. Broadneck will play in the Maryland semi-finals this Friday. "We won 28-27 in overtime last week," stated Gabbard.
The 6-4, 290 pound prospect has narrowed his choice to 3 schools. "I've basically narrowed it down to Clemson, Harvard and the Naval Academy," stated the prize recruit.
The Tigers are definitely the first choice when it comes to football, but the talented prospect is also considering the academics. "As far as football goes Clemson is my football choice. I want to take a look at all the academics also."
Coach Lovett continues the Annapolis standout on a weekly basis. "Coach Lovett called last Tuesday. He just wanted to check in and see how my season is going."
Gabbard watched the Tigers victory over the Gamecocks with great interest Saturday night. "I was really really happy. I heard all these people saying it would be close because it was a rivalry game. Rivalry games are usually close. It didn't really turn out like that."
Gabbard has official visits scheduled for Clemson, Harvard and the Naval Academy in January. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding offensive lineman from Maryland, right up through signing day 2004.
