CUTigers interviewed future Tiger offensive lineman Taylor Tremel for the January issue of CUTigers The Magazine earlier this weekend. Here's a brief look at some of the 25 questions we posed to one of next year's incoming freshmen.
What are you looking forward to the most about Clemson?
Tremel: I guess just getting up there and starting to work out with the team. I'm looking forward to working with the coaches and stuff. I want to get use to the college game. I'm looking forward to learning the plays and everything.
What are your thoughts about Coach Dabo Swinney?
Tremel: His energy really sticks out. He's the most energetic coach I've ever met. He seems like a players coach. He's a really nice guy and real easy to talk to.
What has been the highlight for you during your football career to date?
Tremel: The last game I played this year I had 10 pancakes. We lost the game but that was my best game ever.
How are your grades and test scores as you prepare for college?
Tremel: I scored 1050 on my SAT the first time. I plan on taking it again just to see if I can do better. My grades are good.
What is your favorite sport other than football?
Tremel: I would have to say baseball. I started off playing baseball. That was the first sport I played. I weighed too much to play Pop Warner football.
Tremel closed by saying that his commitment to Clemson was as firm as it's ever been. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding offensive lineman from Florida, right up through signing day 2004.
