Monroe High School was on the visit tour of several college recruiters on Monday. "Coach O'Cain, Coach Roberts and Coach Fulmer all came by the school today," stated Ashcraft.

Clemson Coach Mike O'Cain dropped by to talk with Albert and his parents. "He came by and talked with me and my parents. He told me my official visit dates."

Did any of the coaches make more of an impact than the others? "Coach O'Cain stood out. My parents really liked him. He hit all the points my parents wanted to hear about. The tutoring and the other stuff like that."

Ashcraft was impressed to have the Tennessee head coach pay him a visit. "I loved it. The head coach came to see me. He pretty much said about the same. He told me I'd get a chance to play in front of 100 thousand. I asked him about what position I would play. He said he liked my size more for a linebacker but he said it was up to me."

The talented prospect would prefer to play running back and Clemson is recruiting him as a running back. "Coach O'Cain told my parents he wants to be running back and we are recruiting him as a running back."

The leader for the Monroe standout remains the same after the coaching visit. "Clemson is still my leader," stated the prize recruit.

Ashcraft expect the coach O'Cain to schedule an in-home visit as early as next week. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from North Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
