Lincoln High School
Tallahassee, Florida

Coach Dabo Swinney is working hard to make sure the Lincoln High star knows that the Tigers want him running down the hill next season. "Coach Swinney called last week. He was just checking up to see how school was going. He let me know that Clemson is still definitely interested. He said he was looking forward to seeing me on January 9."

The prize recruit has set an official visit with the Tigers for January 9, but he has yet to set any other visits. "Iowa State, Kentucky, Tulane, Duke and North Carolina are the other teams I am considering for a visit."

Gelhardt is not ready to go on record or a list of favorites at this time. "I really don't have any favorites. I'm keeping it open."

The star tight end from the Sunshine state will take his visits before making a decision. "I will take all my visits and then make my decision."

The Tallahassee prospect plans to work hard in the weight room and the classroom to make sure he is ready for his freshman year. "I will keep working out. I will also work in the classroom. I want to get ready for next year."

Gelhardt will travel to Los Angeles for the CaliFlorida bowl with his family and several of his Lincoln teammates in early January. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding tight end from Florida, right up through signing day 2004.
