Clemson Defensive Coordinator was one of several coaches to visit the Pennsylvania superstar this week. "Coach Lovett came by the school on Tuesday. It went real well. He came to school and we talked about football and what Clemson had to offer. The visit went really well."

Virginia Tech has visited with Steffy at Conestoga Valley Senior High School this week. Penn State visited with the prize recruit and his family at his home earlier this week. Coaches from Maryland and Michigan State will also be in the Steffy home this week.

Coach Bowden will be in the Steffy home next week to try to convince the superstar quarterback to join his offense at Clemson. "Coach Bowden will be here on Tuesday," stated the prize recruit. Coach Bowden will be following Joe Paterno who will visit the home on Monday.

How do you plan to decide on the college of your choice over the next week? "I'm going to take my final visit this weekend to Maryland. Then I will come home and have 4 days to go through everything again. I want to look at each school and decide which school has the most positives and the least negatives."

Did the announcement of the contract extension for Coach Bowden have any impact on his decision?

"It didn't really. I was down at Clemson to see their best game in years when they beat Florida State. That was enough to show me what they've got. That game was enough to save the their jobs. The official extension didn't really have any impact."

Steffy will announce his commitment at a press conference on December 11. We will continue to keep you posted on this outstanding quarterback from Pennsylvania, right up through signing day 2004.
