Coach Brad Scott visited with Florida offensive lineman Kane Hannaford and his family earlier this week. When will the Palmetto standout make a commitment? We've got all the details in this recruiting update.

OL Kane Hannaford
6-6, 320, 5.4
Palmetto High School
Palmetto, Florida

The Palmetto High lineman met with coaches from each of his favorites this week. Coaches from Clemson, Kentucky and South Florida have visited his home and North Carolina State visited with him at school.

Hannaford was pleased with the visit from Clemson Offensive Coordinator Brad Scott. "It went pretty good. He told us a lot about the scholarships and that kind of stuff. He answered all of our questions."

The 6-6, 320 pound prospect will begin taking visits to his 4 favorites this weekend. "I'm going to Kentucky for an official visit this weekend. I have visits with Clemson, North Carolina State and South Florida scheduled for January."

Do the elder Hannaford's have a preference on where they would like to see their son play next year? "Not really. They pretty much let me make my own decision. They like Clemson a lot, but want to see the other schools. Clemson is the only school we have seen."

Hannaford will be watching the Tiger's commitment list closely and comparing his visits in order to decide when to make his commitment. "It depends on how things go. If it gets down to it I may commit early. I will be watching the other commits and seeing how the other visits go."

We will continue to keep you updated on the outstanding offensive lineman from Florida, right up through signing day 2004.
