At this point in the recruiting process, Albert Ashcraft is getting a great deal of attention from the coaches at both Clemson and Tennessee. "Coach O'Cain came by the school today. It went great. He was just coming by to check up on me. We talked about my official visit."

Coach Fulmer called on Ashcraft as well just this weekend. "He was just calling to check up on me too," he added.

So do the Clemson Tigers still lead for the superstar running back? "Yes sir," stated Ashcraft. Tennessee and Clemson have both been competing hard for his services, and it appears as though his decision will come from those two schools.

A few weeks ago Ashcraft was on the verge of committing to the Tigers, but now he would like to wait the recruiting process out a little longer before making a final decision. "I will probably commit sometime around signing day."

The talented athlete will get a chance to see his two favorites battle it out on January 2 when the Tigers meet the Vols in the Peach Bowl. "I'm excited about the Peach Bowl. I'm trying to go down and see the game."

Ashcraft has official visits scheduled with Clemson, Tennessee and South Carolina. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding running back from North Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
