The 6-5, 190 pound prospect was responsible for both of the North squad's touchdowns. With his team trailing 7-3 in the 3rd quarter, Young became the focal point of the North's offense. Young scored the first touchdown on an acrobatic catch in the endzone. Later in the 4th quarter the prize recruit scored again as he broke open with quarterback Justin Knox scrambling to catch the ball over the middle and take it into the endzone.

CUTigers.com caught up with the star receiver after the game to get his thoughts on his MVP performance and his recruitment.

Can you describe your amazing first touchdown catch?
Andre Young: I had to turn around. I kind of tipped it to myself and caught it on the way down.

The way the practices went this week did you expect to come in and be the coach's favorite target today?
Andre Young: No sir, in practices we hit everybody. I guess I was just hot so they kept getting me the ball.

Do you have an offer from Clemson yet?
Andre Young: No sir, I don't.

Where do you plan to take your official visits?
Andre Young: I'm supposed to take a trip to the University of Illinois this coming weekend. Tulane and Oklahoma State are also recruiting me. I will visit Clemson on January 23. I have Tulane on the 16th of January.

Have you talked with the Clemson coaches this week?
Andre Young: Coach West stopped by the house Thursday morning. It went real good.

Do you expect the Tigers to offer?
Andre Young: I sent some film back with him last Sunday. He said they would watch it and get back with me.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
