We had a chance earlier this week to talk with Kim DeLarge (6'1, 220,4.7), and outstanding LB prospect out of McMain High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Here is what this fine athlete had to say about the Tigers:
"I am giving Clemson serious consideration. They have shown a true interest in me since last year," says DeLarge.
"I have been corresponding with Coach Stockstill and Coach Burns and have received letters from most of the other coaches at Clemson. I will most surely make Clemson University one of my official visits, DeLarge said.
"I have 3 games left in my high school career. After I finish the season I'll concentrate on which other schools I'll visit. I'll then weigh the options available and pick a school that offers me the opportunity to excel in both academics and athletics."
So far this season, DeLarge has 98 tackles, 8 sacks, 11 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries- and those stats have been compiled while being n double and tripled teamed on most plays.
This kid has put up enormous numbers for a defensive player over the last two seasons, and he has been known to just take over football games with his down right nasty intensity.
We will keep you updated on Kim's performance as his season draws to a close.
