Vincent Talks Shrine Bowl

Courtney Vincent gets a chance to show what he can do against the best players in South Carolina and North Carolina this week as he participates in the Shrine Bowl. CUTigers.com caught up with the Tiger commitment after practice this afternoon and we've got the latest on the star linebacker in this in-depth Q&A.

How does it feel to be out there competing with the state's best players?
Courtney Vincent: It feels good. I'm having fun. Everything's going good with my team. I love my teammates. It's a great experience.

It looked like you had a nice hit on Foster as he came across the middle in practice?
Courtney Vincent: Yeah, I had one.

Did the coaches tell you to take it easy on the receivers this week?
Courtney Vincent: Yeah, we need those boys. Those boys are tall man.

Are you still firm with Clemson?
Courtney Vincent: Yes, very firm.

How are you coming with your grades and test scores?
Courtney Vincent: All I need is the SAT score. I'm doing pretty good with that. I think last Saturday I made it when I took the test.

What are you looking forward to about your first year at Clemson?
Courtney Vincent: I'm looking forward to running down the hill. I'm loving Clemson right now.

Did you watch Clemson win the big games down the stretch?
Courtney Vincent: I loved watching them play down the stretch. I'm looking forward to watching them play in the Peach bowl. I want to see them get that ring.

How was the visit on Sunday to the hospital?
Courtney Vincent: That was a heartbreaker. It showed how fortunate we really are. It was a good experience.

What are your goals for this week?
Courtney Vincent: I'm just having fun. I have some good coaches this week. I get a chance to play with some of the best linebackers. I'm just having fun.

What is your current height and weight?
Courtney Vincent: I'm currently 6-4, 220.
