How does it feel to play against the best players in South Carolina this week?
James Thompson: Right now it's fun. We're playing around a little bit right now but still getting the job done as well. It's a little competitive. All of the guys out there are good so you still have to work. The kids from North Carolina are going to be good as well. So we're going to have to be ready to play.

When did you last talk with the Clemson coaching staff?
James Thompson: Coach Swinney and Coach West came by my house last Sunday. It went well. I think it went well. He was talking about the academic program they have. He was talking about me coming in to play left tackle. They are losing Henry at left tackle as well as they are losing the right tackle.

Who are your favorites at this moment?
James Thompson: Right now Florida State is moving in. It's going to be out of South Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina and Florida State.

Where do you plan to take your official visits?
James Thompson: On the 9th I'll be going to North Carolina. The 16th I'll be going to USC and on the 23rd I'll be going to Clemson. On the 30th I'll be going to Florida State.

When do you plan to make your final decision?
James Thompson: I will wait until after my visits to make my decision.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding offensive lineman from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
