What About Jomar Wright?

Shrine Bowl receiver Jomar Wright has been unable to participate in the practices this week because of an injury but the Byrnes standout has still enjoyed the Shrine Bowl experience. Who is the leader for the Palmetto star with less than 50 days until signing day?

WR Jomar Wright
6-1, 185, 4.55
Byrnes High School
Greenville, South Carolina

Has it been a difficult week for you since you've been unable to play because of an injury?
Jomar Wright: It's been real hard this week. I've been watching the receivers and the DB's go one on one this week. Getting to see everybody having fun and going against each other. The competition is real stiff out here. It's just a shame that I had to miss it.

Who are the favorites that you are considering at this time?
Jomar Wright: I'm looking at Wake Forest, Duke and Kentucky. Those are my top 3. I have offers from all 3.

Do you have a leader at this point?
Jomar Wright: Right now Kentucky is the leader.

Are either of the in-state schools recruiting you at this time?
Jomar Wright: Clemson came up to see me in the state championship game and said they would like for me to come up for a visit but they haven't offered me.

Do you plan to go up to Clemson for a visit?
Jomar Wright: If they call back and ask me to come up then I'll go up for a visit but I don't think they are going to call back. I haven't heard from them since the state championship game.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
