Clemson recruiting coordinator David Blackwell came by the Barber residence tonight to see if he could build on the momentum created from C.J.'s official visit to Clemson last weekend. "Coach Blackwell came by the house tonight," Barber told CUTigers.com Wednesday evening. "It went pretty good."

Coach Bowden is expected to make another in-home visit next week with the talented defender.

Barber will take an official visit to South Carolina this weekend and he is will make a decision between the two Palmetto rivals at that point. "I will probably make my commitment next Sunday. Once I am ready I will just call the coaches."

When asked what would be the deciding factor, Barber responded, "Just where I feel comfortable."

Did the Northwestern standout feel comfortable at Clemson last weekend? "Yes sir," stated Barber. Barber roomed with former Shrine Bowl teammate Mike Hamlin during his official visit. The two defensive backs continue to discuss the possibility of playing together next season.

South Carolina recruiter Skip Holtz also stopped by Northwestern earlier today for some words about his upcoming visit to Columbia.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive back from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
