The top tight end from the state of Florida attended the Miami/Florida State game last weekend. Lonnie Davis, from Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White High School, walked away very pleased from the unofficial visit to Tallahassee. "It was a great visit," said Davis. "I met Coach (Bobby) Bowden and I got to go in the locker room."
Davis, 6-4 and 245 pounds, plans on attending the Florida State/Florida game in mid-November. Right now, he favors the Seminoles over Auburn and Clemson. Last Friday, he caught 3 passes for 86 yards. Davis is currently playing with a broken finger.
