Lambert Eyes Next Weekend

Cory Lambert turned down a ticket to the Peach Bowl because he had to work yesterday, but that didn't keep the Clemson commitment from listening to the game on the radio. Lambert told us Saturday afternoon that next week's official visit to Clemson could end up being the only one on his schedule.

The Greenville High standout offensive lineman turned down an offer to attend the Peach Bowl with teammate Alex Pearson because he had to work yesterday. "I listened to it on the radio. I listened while I was at work."

The prize recruit could tell that Clemson fans outnumbered the Tennessee fans from listening to the radio broadcast. "They were pretty loud," said Lambert. "You could definitely hear the difference."

Lambert was very impressed with the Tiger's performance, especially after a long lay-off.

"That was awesome. That's pretty much all you can say about it. It was like the announcer on the radio said. You would think they would come out stiff after coming of a layover. They came out ready to play. They did what they had to do."

The 6-7, 310 pound prospect is looking forward to his official visit to Clemson this weekend. Lambert is considering taking official visits to Tennessee and Florida State, but he is hoping the Clemson visit may be his only official visit.

"If the Clemson visit goes well, hopefully I won't have to take any more. All they need to do is make my mom happy. She wants me to take another visit so that I have something to compare against."
