The 6-4, 315 pound prospect has finally gone on record with a leader. "I'm liking Clemson right now," stated Scott.

So does that make the Tigers your leader? "Pretty much," stated the powerful defender.

Scott watched some of the Tigers impressive performance against Tennessee in the Peach Bowl. "I watched a little of the game. My mom had me out working in the yard so I didn't get to watch all of it."

The Columbia native felt the victory over Tennessee in the Peach Bowl was a big victory for the Clemson football program. "That was a pretty good game. They played good against a team nobody thought they could beat. Tennessee was ranked high. That was a big win."

Dorrel, who is projected as a defensive tackle on the collegiate level, is excited about his official visit to Clemson.

"I'm going to Clemson on Friday. My mom will be coming with me. I'm looking forward to going up and see what they have planned. It should be a good time after the Peach Bowl win."

Scott doesn't expect to make a commitment until he has visited both of the in-state schools. "I will make my commitment after I take my South Carolina visit," stated Scott. The Palmetto standout will visit South Carolina on January 16.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive tackle from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.

Dorrel Scott will give the Gamecocks a legitimate chance, but look for the big defensive tackle to commit to Clemson sometime after his official visit to Columbia. Top Stories
