Defensive end prospect and Alabama native Jacquez McKissic has long been a major target of assistant coach Dabo Swinney. We caught up with the stand out performer earlier today, to get his thoughts about his upcoming official visit to Clemson, along with his teammate Adrian Kindred.

What are your thoughts about your official visit to Clemson this weekend?
Jacquez McKissic: I'm just going in with my eyes open. I want to see if I fit in there.

Did you enjoy the visit you made to the Clemson Peach Bowl practice the day before the game?
Jacquez McKissic: I had fun. I like them. I like the defensive line coach. I like their head coach. They play as a team.

What did you think of the Tigers performance in the Peach Bowl?
Jacquez McKissic: They played a good game. I think they surprised a lot of people, but not me. I thought they would win big. A lot of people didn't think they would beat Tennessee like that.

Are you ready to go on record with a leader?
Jacquez McKissic: Not really.

Who are your favorites at this time?
Jacquez McKissic: Clemson, Alabama, and Southern Miss are my favorites.

When will you be ready to make your commitment?
Jacquez McKissic: I can't really say. I'm thinking it will be after my last visits, but I might take a visit and really fit in.

What would you like to major in at college?
Jacquez McKissic: I'm undecided right now.

Would you like to play next season with your teammate Adrian Kindred?
Jacquez McKissic: Yes I would. We are good friends.
