LB/FB Sets Clemson Visit

Cole Mason, a 6-foot-1 230-pound linebacker/fullback prospect who was formly committed to Kentucky, has set a visit with the Clemson Tigers and has a leader heading into the heart of January.

Mason said, "Right now, I can see where I want to be, and Kentucky was not the place for me. It is a good 4 hours from my home, and my family would not be able to see me play every weekend. I have my options open."BR>
Mason has other offers on the table from Mississippi State, Clemson, and Ole Miss.BR>
Mason stated, "At Mississippi State, they have the new coaching staff coming in and the way they are going to run the offense next year, I feel I can really fit in there. Ole Miss is a great team with a good coaching staff, and Clemson has a great coaching staff and will always be good." Mason tell us that his leader is currently Mississippi State and added, "Right now, I like Mississippi State but in the next few weeks anything can happen."BR>
"Ole Miss and Clemson want me to play defense. Mississippi State wants me to play fullback. I could play either fullback or linebacker. I have played both since my freshman year. Just whatever position they want me to play, I will play," Mason added.BR>
Mason has visits scheduled for Mississippi State (1/16), Clemson (1/23), and Ole Miss (1/30).BR>
Mason could decide to pull the trigger in Starkville this weekend. Mason said, "It is a possibility, but anything can happen."BR>
