Top WR Ready for Visit

When asked about the Tigers' 27-14 victory over the 6th ranked Tennessee Volunteers in Peach Bowl, standout wide receiver Jamar Bryant remarked, "I wasn't really surprised. I thought Tennessee was overrated anyway." Bryant is set to visit Clemson this weekend with teammate Dannell Ellerbe.

The 6-2, 185 pound prospect will be going to Clemson this weekend, along with his parents and his teammate Dannell Ellerbe. "I'm heading up Friday. My mom and dad are coming with me."

Bryant was unable to watch the Peach Bowl because he had a basketball game that day but he was not surprised that the Tigers defeated the Vols. "I wasn't really surprised. I thought Tennessee was overrated anyway."

The departure of Derrick Hamilton to the NFL helps the Tigers chances with the Rockingham standout. "I think it means that you have a chance to come in and start. It will help me get a chance to play early if I go there."

While the recruiting process is now shifting into high gear, Bryant is still not ready to go on record with a leader. "I don't have a leader yet. Clemson, Georgia and North Carolina State are my favorites."

Is there any chance the Richmond County star commit to the Tigers this weekend? "No, I want to take my visits." Bryant will visit Georgia on January 16 and North Carolina State on January 30.

Bryant is currently behind Mike McIntosh on the Tigers' board at wide receiver. McIntosh is considered the top prospect on the board, with Aaron Kelly and Bryant directly behind.
