Blackwell will Visit SC LB this Week

Greenville linebacker Alex Pearson will take his official visit to Clemson this weekend, but with the scholarship count growing smaller every day for Clemson, where does the talented defender stand with the Tigers?

The trip to Tiger Town will be a familiar one for Pearson this weekend as both of parents graduated from Clemson. "I'm still going on an official visit there on Friday," stated Pearson in an interview Monday evening.

Before the official visit Coach Blackwell will pay a visit to the Pearson household. "Coach Blackwell is coming by the house this week. I'm not sure which night yet."

Clemson has discussed the option of greyshirting with the Palmetto standout. "Coach Blackwell has talked about it. It's a possibility, but that's only if they don't have any scholarships left."

Would the 6-2, 245 pound prospect be interested in enrolling in January instead of August? "I wouldn't have a problem with it," stated Pearson.

Pearson does not plan to take any other official visits. The talented prospect is a member of the Greenville High track team now that football season is over.
