DE Anthony Davis
6-6, 235, 4.7
Spring Valley High School
Columbia, South Carolina
CUTigers.com caught up with Spring Valley Head Coach Jimmy Noonan earlier this morning to get the latest on Anthony Davis.
"He's still hovering," said Noonan. "I just told coach Bowden and Coach Scott this morning. He was very busy yesterday. He met with 4 or 5 coaches. He dismissed Auburn, Kentucky and Vanderbilt yesterday. It will be Clemson or Wake Forest right now."
Which team does Coach Noonan believe it will be? "I think he wants to be a Tiger," stated Coach Noonan.
Coach Noonan also commented on how he feels his star defensive end will do at the next level.
"He's going to need to sit a year. He is currently 6-6, 245 and he could be 6-6, 290 once we get him on a regiment. His size potential is tremendous."
So just how will Anthony's commitment go down later today?
"I think he will come in my office and pick up the phone and give Coach Bowden and Coach Scott a call," stated Noonan.
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive lineman, right up through signing day 2004.
