Timmonsville receiver Phillip Morris pulled the trigger on a commitment to the Clemson Tigers during his official visit last weekend. "Coach Bowden said welcome to the team. Welcome to the family," said Morris.

The 6-4, 190 pound prospect is very familiar with the Clemson experience because his brother Kelvin plays for the Tigers, but Morris found out for himself during his official visit just how special Clemson could be.

"It went pretty good. Actually it went real good," said Morris. "I got up there and it was like a family atmosphere. The guys are real close. I liked that. That is what it is like up there."

Besides his commitment on Sunday, the highlight of the weekend was the opportunity to run down the hill the day before. "Oh man. That was the best feeling I ever had. That was the best experience of my life."

Kelvin Morris learned of his brother's pending commitment on Saturday night. "I told him Saturday night that I was going to commit Sunday. He said to go ahead if I felt comfortable."

Morris and best friend Mike Hamlin have discussed playing together for several months and Morris is confident that they will get their wish. "I told Mike Saturday night that I was going to go ahead and commit. He's not ready to announce his decision yet but I think it will be Clemson."

When asked how it felt to be committed to the Clemson Tigers, Morris responded, "It feels good man. It feels like I'm part of a family now. It feels real good."
