Matt and his parents spent a several hours talking with Coach Bowden and Coach West yesterday afternoon as they tried to convince the Bamberg standout to sign with the Tigers.

"Coach Bowden came by the school around 1:00," said Raysor. "We talked for a while, then my parents came by at 3:00 and we talked until around 5:00. It went very well today. We talked a lot. Clemson sounds pretty good right now."

When asked if his parents had a preference about his college choice, Raysor responded, "They'll be happy with wherever I decide to go. They have been very supportive."

Raysor has been a long time commitment to South Carolina, but the Gamecocks no longer lead for his services. "I no longer have a leader. It's 50/50 right now," said the Shrine Bowl lineman.

And while South Carolina may no longer by his clear-cut leader, the Gamecocks will still get their chance to impress when Raysor takes his official visit to Columbia this weekend. "I'm still going to take my visit this weekend," stated Raysor.

So when will the powerful defender make his final decision?

"After I take my visit I'm going to take a week and think about it. Then I'm going to chart all the positives for each school like stability. Then I will make my final decision."

Several current Clemson commitments have been calling Matt this week to try to convince the Palmetto standout to join them on the defensive line of the future for the Tigers.

"I have heard a lot from Dorrel and Elsmore," said Raysor. "We all talked last weekend about playing together on the same defensive line. They are just trying to get me to come with them. Elsmore said he wants me to be his roommate."

Although the number of scholarships available in shrinking quickly, Coach Bowden is not pressuring Raysor for a quick decision.

"Coach Bowden said he would give me some time to think about it. Coach West will come back Thursday or Friday of next week. They told me they would have a scholarship for me if I decide to come to Clemson."
