Clemson coaches Dabo Swinney, David Blackwell and Ron West all visited with the prize recruit at school today. "It went pretty good," Thompson said in an interview with CUTigers.com. "We talked about the upcoming visit. It went well."

The South Carolina coaching staff also paid a visit to Sumter High to visit with the standout lineman.

"Coach Roberts and Coach Lounsberry also came by the school today. We just talked about the Business School and the depth chart at South Carolina. They also wanted to know how I am doing in school."

The Tigers will get a chance to make the last impression with the Shrine Bowl lineman when he takes his official visit to Clemson the weekend before signing day. "I have my football banquet this weekend. I will visit Clemson on January 31," Thompson said.

Thompson still plans to announce his decision on signing day. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding offensive lineman from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
