Coach Bowden and Coach Lovett traveled to Rock Hill today to meet with standout defensive back C.J. Barber. "It went good. Coach Bowden and Coach Lovett came by the school today. We had a good meeting," said Barber.

The 6-2, 220 pound defender told Coach Skip Holtz this weekend that he would be a gamecock but when CUTigers.com spoke with C.J. last night he said South Carolina was his leader but that he was still unsure of his final decision.

When asked if the visit from Coach Bowden had changed his leader, Barber responded, "I would say it's even. The visit helped a little," added the Northwestern standout.

Barber would like to make his final decision over the weekend, but he is not sure if that will happen. "I hope to make my decision over the next couple of days but we will see."

What factors will the Shrine Bowl star consider when making the final decision? "I will look at coaching style and the players on the team. I will also look at the surroundings and the area."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive back from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
