Bamberg standout Matt Raysor took an official visit to South Carolina State this weekend. "It went real good," stated Raysor in an interview with CUTigers.com Sunday afternoon.
The talented defender was meeting with his high school defensive coordinator when we spoke with him this afternoon. "I am meeting with my defensive coordinator right now to discuss my decision," stated the prize recruit.
The Clemson coaching staff will make a last minute pitch this afternoon when they visit with Raysor at his home. Coach West, Coach Scott and Coach Smith are expected to meet with him later this afternoon.
When asked when he will announce his final decision, Raysor responded, "I will announce my decision on Tuesday."
The Gamecocks appear to hold a lead but it is a very small lead at this point according to the Shrine Bowl star. "South Carolina leads by just a little bit. Not much. I would say it is 51% to 49% right now."
Do the Tigers still have a chance with the talented defender? "Clemson still has a shot," stated Raysor.
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive tackle, right up through signing day 2004.
