Morris Talks about Hamlin

Timmonsville standout Phillip Morris committed to Clemson several weeks ago and now he's waiting to see if his good friend Mike Hamlin will join him as a Tiger. Will the two good friends finally get to play on the same team? Find out the latest in this recruiting update.

CUTigers.com caught up with the 6-4, 190 pound prospect tonight to see how he was progressing on his test scores and to see what he was hearing from Mike Hamlin.

Morris and Hamlin have been great friends for a long time even though they did not attend the same high school. The two talented South Carolina prospects have talked for a long time about playing together at the collegiate level.

"I really don't know right now," said Morris in an interview with CUTigers.com. "He's got me in a bind. I think he will end up at Clemson but I'm not real sure right now. It's definitely Clemson or South Carolina. I talked with him after he returned from his Duke visit. He like it but I think he will stay in-state."

Morris is working hard to improve his test scores so he can qualify for the Tigers. "I will take my test again in February. I probably won't hear back until April."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
