"Chris committed to Miami last night," said his father Rick. "He announced it today. Chris had a very tough time making his final decision but in the end he felt Miami was the best place."

Location may be a big part of why Miami is the best place for him.

"We determined that Ohio State was just too far from home because we've seen every game of his since he was 9 years old," said Rick. "Miami is close to home and will give us a chance to see him play. He loved everything about the visit and just felt most comfortable at Miami."

Zellner took his official visit to Miami this past weekend, after visiting Clemson and Ohio State earlier in the month. "He will take his visit this weekend and then make a decision," stated his father.

Apparently, he realized after his official visit to Coral Gables, that Miami was the place for him. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from Florida, right up through signing day 2004.
