TE Durrell Barry
6-6, 245, 4.8
Ft. Dorchester High School
St. George, South Carolina
The 6-5, 245-pound prospect is not committed to the Tigers at this time but says he will likely play for the Tigers before it's all said and done.
"I'm interested in Clemson but as far as talking to the coaches it hasn't all been done yet. I am interested in Clemson," said Barry in an interview with CUTigers.com. "I will probably end up there but it's not official."
Barry has built a very good relationship with his recruiter from Louisville and he feels like he at least owes him an official visit. "I just wanted to go visit Louisville and give them a visit. I felt like I owed them that much at the very least."
"Coach Bowden is coming by the school tomorrow," stated Barry, but don't expect a commitment as he plans to wait until after his visit to make things official. "I will probably make my commitment Sunday when I get back or possibly Monday."
The low country stand out brought in 66 catches for 1126 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior year, and was hosted by fullback Cliff Harrell on his official visit to Clemson last weekend.
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding prospect from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
