Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden traveled to Carol City on Wednesday to meet with Akeem Robinson and his parents. Bowden watched Akeem in a basketball game before coming by the house for his in-home vist.

"It was okay," said Robinson in an interview with CUTigers.com. "It was a good visit. My parents enjoyed the visit. He brought a lot of facts for my parents to review. It was a good visit." When asked if the visit helped the Tigers chances of signing him next Wednesday, Robinson responded, "In a way yes they did. I just liked what was presented. I am comfortable with my whole situation if I went to Clemson."

Nevertheless, the Tigers will have to fight off the Florida Gators for the prize recruit.

"I am still taking my official visit to Florida this weekend. I will put everything together from all the visits. I want to make the right decision from a family standpoint and get a good education."

What are the chances that Robinson will sign with the Tigers on signing day? "It's pretty close. I would say it's like 60%."

Robinson will not make his decision until early next week. "It will probably be around Monday but that's not guaranteed."
