DL Akeem Robinson
6-5, 270, 4.8
Carol City High School
The 6-7, 250 pound prospect took his final official visit this weekend when he traveled to Gainesville. "It was good. I enjoyed it," said Robinson in an interview with CUTigers.com Sunday evening.
When asked if the Tigers still hold the lead after the visit, Robinson responded, "It's like a see-saw. They are so similar. Florida has an advantage because they have 3 offensive line slots open after next season. On the other hand Clemson is telling me I can get early playing time there. It's even right now."
Robinson plans to have a final decision by Monday night. "I am going to rest on it tonight. I will make my decision by tomorrow night. I don't want it to drag out any longer. I will just rest and think about the whole situation."
The talented lineman won't get much help from his parents as they are split on their preference. "My mom likes the Clemson coaches a little more. My dad likes the Florida coaches better. Either way I will make one of them happy."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding lineman from Florida, right up through signing day 2004.
