Croley Talks McIntosh and Signing Day

Clemson fans, coaches and even one of Mike McIntosh's good friend were stunned Wednesday when McIntosh made a double reverse and signed with the Florida Gators. CUTigers.com caught up with First Coast star and Clemson commitment Brandon Croley to get his reaction to the events that unfolded in Jacksonville on signing day.

The 6-0, 180 pound cornerback was shocked to see McIntosh sign with the Gators. "I am kind of surprised. I didn't know anything about it until it came time for him to sign the papers. Before then I thought he would stick with his commitment and go to Clemson. He had told me that he was 100% committed to Clemson."

Apparently even Mike's parents didn't know he had changed his mind. "His parents didn't even know. He just made his decision over night. He said that's where his heart was."

When asked if he was upset about his teammates last minute decision, Croley responded, "I'm not going to lose any sleep over it."

Croley has talked with Coach Swinney about the situation and as you would expect Coach Swinney was very upset. "I talked to Coach Swinney. He was very upset. He said if Mike knew, he could have told him ahead of time. He said they turned away some other players because of Mike's commitment."

The Florida standout is pleased that the recruiting process if finally over. "I'm glad it's over," stated Croley.

Croley will be working hard over the next few months to prepare for football on the collegiate level. "I am going to work on everything. I will be running and working out."

Coach Swinney has told Brandon that he could see playing time next season if he comes in prepared to play physically and mentally. "He told it depends on what kind of condition I am in when I come up there. It will also depend on how quickly I learn the defense."

We will continue to keep you updated on this future Tiger as he prepares for August.
