Diomande, 6-1, 185, had 41 receptions for 685 yards and six touchdowns as a senior in 2003 for head coach Chris Merritt. He helped Christopher Columbus High to the state playoffs and a 7-4 final record. The nephew of former Florida State All-American Andre Wadsworth was an All-Dade County selection last year.

"He really did not get on anybody's radar," said Columbus High School Chris Merritt in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.

"Andre sent out some tapes through his connections at Florida State," said Merritt. "The common thing among the coaches was they wish they would have know about him a month earlier."

Diomande ranked third in Dade County in receiving and broke all of the schools single season receiving records. The Florida standout also was 1st in Dade County in yards per catch.
