Clemson signee Cullen Harper is glad that the hoopla surrounding signing day has passed and he can focus all of his energy on preparing to become a Clemson Tiger.

"I am just glad its over in a way," said Harper in a recent interview with CUTigers.com. "I was ready to get it out of the way and get focused on where I'm headed, which is Clemson." Harper did take time on signing day to celebrate the occasion with friends and family. "I went down to the ESPN zone in Atlanta and signed in front of a few people. Later that night my mom and dad had some folks over for desert for a little celebration."

The Georgia standout will be working hard to get in the best physical condition possible before August. "Right now I'm working out hard. I'm working on speed. I'm trying to get bigger, faster and stronger. I will try to make it down for a few spring practices to learn what I can."

Cullen expects to spend his freshman year learning everything he can from Charlie Whitehurst. "I will most likely be redshirting. I plan to study under Charlie. I want to get use to the speed of the game at the college level."

Harper is also looking forward to getting started with his college experience. "I can't wait to get down and make some friends. I'm looking forward to getting to see what the football life in college is all about."

Harper also gave us some comments on the rumors about changes to the uniforms at Clemson.

"Right now I like them the way they are," said the future Clemson QB. "I think they look good right now. I'm sure the others will look nice. I would just like to see them first."

We will continue to keep you updated on this future Tiger quarterback, right up through his first day of practice in August.
