NC RB Listing Clemson

Even though in-state recruiting powers UNC and NC State have shown early interest, don't count on Cedric Hickman committing to an in-state school. We've got the latest on a North Carolina RB listing Clemson early in the recruiting process.

RB Cedric Hickman
5-11, 190, 4.5
North Forsyth High School
Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Hickman is planning on attending camps at Carolina and State, but says, "I'm trying to get out of North Carolina. My mom wants to travel."

So far, Clemson, Tennessee, UNC and N.C. State have shown interest.

The highly touted running back out of North Forsyth (NC) high school says that all of the schools are pretty even in his sights. "I'm looking for a school with a good program and a good coaching staff. A good coaching staff to me is one that is hard working and gets you better at what you do."

Hickman says that playing time is not a big factor in his decision. "I'm willing to take my time and get used to the system."

The rising senior racked up 1648 yards and 15 touchdowns in only 11 games last year for the Vikings. This year may prove a little tougher for Hickman as his team is losing all but one of their starting offensive linemen.

For the upcoming year Cedric says "I need to work on my footwork, to get quicker."

We will continue to keep you updated on Cedric Hickman, right up through signing day 2004.
