NC Lineman Checking Out ACC Schools

The 6-foot-4, 320-pound prospect is receiving interest from several ACC schools at this point in the recruiting process. "North Carolina State, North Carolina, Virginia and Clemson have all sent me some stuff," DeGeare told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

"State, Carolina and Virginia are showing the most interest right now."

When asked if he has any early favorites, DeGeare responded, "Not yet. Not at this time."

In terms of strengths, the North Carolina native says, "I have good foot quickness. I also get off the ball real well."

DeGeare plans to work hard during his senior season to prepare for college football. "I want to work on my strength. I also want to get my 40 time down a little more. I want to dominate more this year." The Glenn High standout currently runs a 5.5 forty.

DeGeare already knows what he will be looking for when he makes his college choice over the next year. "I will look at the football program's prestige. I will also look at facilities and academics. I would like to major in either Pharmacy or Zoology."

DeGeare has already visited several ACC schools for Junior Day activities. "I have been to Virginia, North Carolina and North Carolina State."
